– EGGPLANT | PATLICAN –
In season from June to October, eggplant is served as both a main dish and an accompaniment. Grown throughout Turkey, eggplant (patlıcan in Turkish) is a featured component in many typical Turkish dishes including eggplant salad, eggplant puree and stuffed eggplant. Eggplant is even preserved as jam.
